Located 30 miles west of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Farallon Islands hosts one of the world’s most diverse marine ecosystems. Do you know why this extraordinary marine eco-system of whales, dolphins, sea lions, and seals is home to the great white shark? and also the largest seabird-breeding colony in the continental US?  In the spring, thirteen species of birds nest on the Farallones and in the fall, one of the largest concentrations of great white sharks in the world can be observed.
