It is important to recognize that this unique opportunity is on a real research vessel, not a tour boat. While the crew of the WHITE HOLLY will work hard to make your expedition a comfortable one, the vessel is laid out for research work, not the comfort of the general public. For example you will need to be able to step through 20" high hatchways and you will share quarters with 6 of your fellow students. This experience is exactly the same as for oceanographic researchers world wide. By paying for tuition and attending the " Gulf of the Farallones Oceanographic Research Course", you agree to accompany and participate in the Oceanographic Research Course on the WHITE HOLLY. You will be bunking in the common berths with limited privacy. You must read the course outline and vessel details.By attending the course you acknowledge that you are prepared for an at-sea learning adventure.

Please read and acknowledge the Statement below.
While the WHITE HOLLY is fully equipped with modern safety and survival equipment, and is crewed by professional mariners, I understand that this expedition may expose me to certain risks of injury or death or damage to my property. I hereby hold the owners and operators of the WHITE HOLLY, their officers, agents and employees harmless from any and all claims or liabilities which I might have or claim to have against them for injuries to my person, including death, and damage or loss to my property, arising out of my participation in such an expedition except for the negligence of the operators of the WHITE HOLLY.
